• Log in to your CodeGuard dashboard.
  • Next to the website entry you already have backed up, click the gear icon or go to Actions → Add Database.
  • Enter the database hostname or IP address, then click “Test Connection”.

If the test passes, enter the MySQL credentials: database name, MySQL username and password.

Before proceeding, ensure the CodeGuard IP addresses are whitelisted in your hosting control panel (so the remote connection can succeed).

Select the database(s) you wish to back up, then click Add Database. CodeGuard will begin the initial backup.
