Responsive Slides theme for WeaverPix

Introduction

Responsive Slides is based on the popular SlideJS plugin, and uses a combination of jQuery Javascript and CSS3 code to generate beautiful and basic image sliders. Of particular significance is the support for touch gestures, meaning that users on compatible touch devices are able to use simple finger-swipe gestures to navigate through slideshows. This WeaverPix slideshow theme is capable of running in either manual or automatic modes. Responsive Slides is a great choice of theme for assembling a basic portfolio of images or for integration in theme banner / header regions.

Responsive Slides works reliably across all major web browsers and mobile devices, including IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10, Safari, Opera, Chrome and Firefox. This theme is optimised for search engines and could be further customised using your own custom CSS code.

Key features

  • Create dynamic slideshows that adapt to any size of screen.
  • Swipe support that tracks touch movements on supported devices (like iOS and Android).
  • This WeaverPix theme can be setup to cycle through a collection of images automatically. Or you can configure it to run in response to button clicks or finger swipes.
  • CSS3 animations are hardware-driven and run smoothly on modern devices.
  • Simple to setup, flexible, robust and works with almost any RapidWeaver theme (responsive or fixed-width)
  • Images have both title and ALT attributes applied to them, so search engines can understand the context of images being used.
